During the visit, the delegation led by Dean Xu Jun from the NUIST School of Smart Healthcare conducted an inspection and research tour at Kunshan Yiyuan Medical Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Zhang Lanyong, Chairman of the company, and Ms. Du Xiaoqin, Vice President, provided Dean Xu and his team with an overview of Yiyuan’s development history and the progress of its product R&D.

Yiyuan’s products currently meet 90% of the CT X-ray tube model demands from domestic CT manufacturers and account for over 70% of China’s domestic CT X-ray tube production capacity. As of now, the company has completed compatibility certification with two CT system manufacturers, with five more undergoing certification. These advancements address the "chokepoint" issue in China’s high-end medical equipment supply chain, achieving import substitution and independent, controllable core technology.

All parties unanimously agreed that deepening industry-university-research collaboration between academic institutions, local governments, and enterprises, as well as enhancing technical complementary cooperation among enterprises, would significantly boost China's innovation capacity and industrialization level in medical devices. Such cooperation is expected to elevate China's high-performance diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including medical imaging technology and surgical robots, to new heights.
