The 5th Academic Annual Conference on X-ray Tubes of the Chinese Institute of Electronics Was Grandly Held

From May 16 to 18, 2025, the 5th X-ray Tube Academic Conference of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) was grandly held at the Crowne Plaza Times Hotel in Kunshan. Kunshan Yiyuan Medical Technology Co., Ltd. served as the primary organizer of the event. Approximately 300 experts, scholars, and industry leaders attended the conference, including members of the Vacuum Electronics Society, as well as representatives from universities, research institutions, manufacturers, and end-user enterprises engaged in the research and application of X-ray tubes, radiation sources, and related technologies

CT tubes, as a key representative of the X-ray tube industry, attracted widespread attention from conference attendees.

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Zhang Lanyong, Chairman of Kunshan Yiyuan, delivered a speech in which he succinctly outlined the development journey of domestically produced X-ray tubes. He called on experts, scholars, and industry leaders to devote greater efforts to the R&D and promotion of X-ray tube technology, with the goal of strengthening and expanding China's domestic CT tube industry. His address emphasized the importance of achieving true self-sufficiency and independent innovation in high-end X-ray tube technology.

The conference focused on six key areas: X-ray tube fundamentals, industrial/security/spectroscopy X-ray tubes, medical imaging X-ray tubes, cold cathode X-ray tubes, materials and components for X-ray tubes, and X-ray tube applications.

Ms. Du Xiaoqin, Director and Deputy General Manager of Kunshan Yiyuan, delivered a keynote report titled "Global Technological Developments in Medical CT X-ray Tubes". Additionally, six R&D scientists and senior process engineers from the company's research center presented reports on their respective specialized fields. These sessions facilitated in-depth discussions with attending experts on cutting-edge X-ray tube technologies, practical applications, and industrial chain collaboration, addressing some of the industry's most pressing topic

Following the conference, a delegation of experts from the Vacuum Electronics Society, universities, research institutions, manufacturing enterprises, and end-user organizations visited Kunshan Yiyuan for an exclusive technical exchange. The delegation highly commended the company's achievements and technological advancements in X-ray tube development.
